These are important not only for maintaining your wellness but catching conditions as soon as they appear so that a treatment plan can be implemented. Jupiter Medical Center Urgent Care offers Monthly Heart Health Screenings and Monthly Early Detection Vascular Screenings: Monthly Heart Health Screenings For $69 a month, your heart health screening will begin with a risk assessment based on physical characteristics such as blood pressure and heart rate, height and weight, and body mass index. Then, cholesterol, glucose, and EKG tests will be conducted, followed by an individual counseling session with one of our cardiac nurses to determine the best ways in which to maintain your heart health between visits. Monthly Early Detection Vascular Screenings Patients over the age of 50 with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, or heart disease are at especially higher risk of suffering from a stroke, abdominal aortic aneurysm and peripheral arterial disease.

The following tests, offered monthly, will help prevent these health risks:

• Stroke carotid artery exam ($80)
• Abdominal aortic aneurysm exam ($80)
• Peripheral arterial disease exam ($80)
• Vascular package: all three exams ($180)

Physicals

Our Urgent Care at Jupiter Medical Center will conduct thorough physicals for the following purposes:

• Pre-operative Physicals: These evaluate the health condition of a patient soon entering an elective surgery. Tests performed here are designed to allow surgeons to operate on a patient in an even more calculated and individualized manner.
• Pre-Employment Physicals: These determine the physical state of an employee in the hiring process for the purposes of establishing a healthy and safe work environment. Jupiter Medical Center can accommodate this physical request on a walk-in basis.
• School Physicals: Our physicians will satisfy any school’s physical requirements before starting the new school year, while also offering health and lifestyle counseling to promote the improvement and preservation of your child’s good health.
• Sports Physicals: We welcome walk-in sports physicals for any young athlete requiring clearance in looking to join a team.

Adult Vaccines

Though we often consider more important our children’s vaccines, it is also important for adults to take any preventative measures available to avoid new diseases and continue to stay immune to the diseases we received vaccinations for in childhood. Immunizations wear off over time, and there are always new diseases circulating each year.
